YUGO Gear.com is live!

Mindfulness is fun and

I am proud to announce that YUGOGear.com has launched today! A new brand of meditation and yoga cushions designed for both indoor and outdoor use, ready to accompany you on all your adventures.

It was time for meditation cushions that wouldn’t limit your possibilities but would instead go with you on any journey. Starting today, the whole world has become our meditation space.

My idea began during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, when I was staying with my family in a cabin in the forests of Lage Vuursche. I meditated regularly to keep my worried mind grounded during that strange period of lockdowns. I would meditate both indoors and outside in the forest, as the quiet, wooded environment helped bring a deeper sense of peace. So, several times a week, I would carry a meditation cushion into the surrounding garden or sometimes a bit further into the forest. But I couldn’t go very far because a typical meditation cushion (with buckwheat filling) is heavy and inconvenient to carry around. I realized that a meditation cushion shouldn’t limit me—it should be something I could take with me anywhere and everywhere, whether that’s a forest, a beach, a mountain peak, a campsite, or a hotel room.

During my mindfulness instructor training, I noticed the same issue: you’re often required to go to a space where meditation cushions are provided, but you can’t always be sure they’ll be comfortable. I experienced retreats where there weren’t enough cushions or situations where you had to rely on the cushions available in a yoga room because you couldn’t bring your own. Trainers hauling carts of cushions back and forth. I thought, “There has to be a better way.”

By making meditation cushions more user-friendly, they become more accessible and versatile. This makes meditation more approachable for so many more people.

This sparked my mission at the beginning of 2023: to create a change. To make the best meditation cushions that can go anywhere with you, transforming the world into a meditation space, whether it’s your backyard or the top of a mountain.

important.
